Very interesting adaptation of the well-known novel No Longer Human by Osamu Dazai. I can’t say anything about the novel as I have not read it, but there wasn’t really a plot for the musical. It does contain some really dark themes that show us how troubled the characters are, and since there is no resolution, it leaves a pretty heavy feeling among the audience. I was also lowkey robbed of a free vinyl so screw the venue. Act one was also over 2 hours long? Like what were the writers thinking lmao. However the two leads are both amazing. One of them is a Chinese singer I really like, and the other is a full-time musical theatre actor (I think). I’ve heard of him a lot, but I have never seen him and honestly he is just absolutely amazing. Really hope I can see him again :’)
