no. 11 - Mitski

I will admit that Mitski’s concerts are more similar to my kind of concerts, since it is more chill (thankfully no one in the audience was weird at our concert). Everyone just sat in their seats and enjoyed Mitski’s performance. She also had an awesome opener who played a ton of different string instruments for their songs, and it was really impressive and set the vibe of the concert really well. During My Love Mine All Mine, Mitski had really cool reflective decor surrounding her on stage. It was such a beautiful moment and although it wasn’t a loud concert, it was evident that many individuals in the audience were really moved by her performance. I also teared up a little bit, as the song meant a lot to me. I was also super excited for First Love/Late Spring, as it is from my favorite Mitski album. My friend also totally just lied to me and said that it wouldn’t be on the set (lmao), so hearing the song start to play was definitely a pleasant surprise. I really hope Mitski continues releasing music and performing the way she wants to express her art, as watching her confidence and determination to perform in her unique way is very empowering.
