This was my first show in Shanghai, which set me off on my entire journey of watching shows in Shanghai. I have always been fascinated by traditional Chinese instruments, but the best part of this show was that they had many traditional instruments from other continents too. Each song showcased a different group of instruments or just an individual instrument, and some songs even had themes. There were literally two songs that were just so cool and so good that I just started crying lmao, and I’m pretty sure one of them was a percussion only song. The music itself was really great outside of just having really nice instruments, as one of the melodies of the Guzheng duet was stuck in my head for days after, and I can still recall it years later. Really beautiful show and I would love to see it again.
