I have been talking about combining musical theatre with traditional Chinese music for soooo long which made REALLY excited going into this show. The score was quite impressive, but the vocals were… definitely not great lmao. According to my mom, it was a college production so honestly they already did really well. There were some really pretty scenes and the overall story-telling was really strong. I wonder how the production would appear in another venue with professional music theatre actors. Hope that this production can be on a stage again!
