Seeing JP Saxe with one of my best friends was no doubt one of the best concert experiences I have ever had. He also managed to make me cry again, and I already started tearing up when he sat by the piano, because I just KNEW A Little Bit Yours was next. My friend got me into this song when we were in high school, we shared what the song meant to us, and we even performed it together. Seeing the song live together was such a full circle moment, and just being able to hear a song so personal to me was really great. The other songs in the set were great as well, ESPECIALLY when he also sang Lizzie McAlpine’s verse in Everything Ends. JP Saxe has a lot of fun with his band on stage, and it really feels like the audience is just having a good time with him. Additionally, we also got soundcheck! Being able to hear some acoustic versions of songs that were not on the set was also (although I was disappointed I won’t be hearing them live).
