no. 6 - Sammy rae & the friends
vocals: 10/10 || setlist: 10/10 || stage presence: 10/10 || audience: 7/10 || logistics: 10/10
If you’ve been to a Sammy Rae & The Friends show, you get it - they are always able to put on such a good show. Every member of the band is super talented, Sammy Rae is a wonderful singer, but what makes their live shows even more moving is how passionate they look on stage. They’re not just singing for a show, it feels like every one on stage is sharing something very close to them with the entire audience. Watching them perform can be so inspiring, especially as someone that used to love the stage.
To be completely honest, I have always been one of those people that say they will cry at a concert, but does not actually cry lol. It can be hard for me to cry just because I’m so in tune with the performance around me. However, when Living Room Floor came on, I sobbed throughout the whole song. When Sammy Rae walked over to the piano, I already knew it was over for me lmao. I was also going through something similar at the time; moving houses, being betrayed by someone you thought was close, and making a space of your own to call home. The concert happened at a really good time in my life, as I needed to hear the things they sang and performed.
Although there was a reallyyyy weird couple in front of us, I got to enjoy the concert with one of my best friends and two other great friends as well. We all had a great time spending the night of Valentine’s Day with Sammy Rae & The Friends :)
