Absolutely life-changing performance. The intricacies of Hisaishi’s film scores are undefeatable, and being able to hear all of it live will probably be one of my favorite concerts of all time. He had his daughter sing two songs from Spirited Away and it was life-changing. The fact that he picked the scene where Haku remembered his name had me cryingggg. I love that they displayed the translation of the lyrics as I was not aware of a lot of it before. The only song I wished to hear was one of the Kiki songs and one of the Castle in the Sky ones, but I was really satisfied other than that! I cried so much lmao. I saw the Kanji of Kiki and already started sobbing man. It’s definitely my favorite Ghibli film score. There was this guy next to me that was crying even louder than me though LMAO. Like homeboy was sobbing (but like same). It was such a beautiful night.
