I went into Mrs. Doubtfire with no knowledge of the plot, but they actually had a really strong message. The music was fun and humorous, and the lead actor did a really great job especially with how hard his role was. There was one song in the middle that used something similar to a loop machine, and it was honestly really funny but also impressive that they were able to come up with that. The plot progression was a little hard to follow in my opinion, just because they seemed to imply some problematic things, especially towards the beginning. However, the ending was really well done and sweet. The main character gives a short monologue at the end that breaks social norms of “the nuclear family”, which was very inclusive for single parents and same sex couples as well. After seeing everything the characters had gone through, the ending was very heartwarming.
