no. 19 - lucy

vocals: 9/10 || setlist: 10/10 || stage presence: 11/10 || audience: 7/10 || logistics: 5/10

I have listened to a lot of Lucy, but I’ve never seen their performances as I haven’t gotten that far on the show they were formed on. However, the live performance was so energizing that it was very moving as an audience to watch how passionate they were about their music. I think the usage of the violin in their music is one of their most unique attributes, but their lead singer is also incredibly talented and has a very unique voice that brings something very special to their sound. The bassist seemed like a very wholesome person, but their demeanor as a performer was completely different (and they were also crazy at playing bass). The logistics was kind of rough as they kept having technical difficulties, but it is a very small venue and a lot of students assist with running it as well (I think). The most negative aspect was probably the audience, as there was a white girl next to me that kept trying to pretend that they spoke Korean while also being kind of upset that Lucy is not fluent in English lmao. However, the music was good enough that I had a good experience overall. I thought they weren’t going to play my favorite song (Play) but hearing the intro actually made me lose my shit lmfao. Would love to see them again!
